Lenny Fontana
Lenny Fontana (born September 21, 1968 in New York City ) is a house DJ . Fontana is also listed as DJ Lenny Fontana or under the pseudonym "Powerhouse".
Life
Lenny Fontana started DJing in the 1980s. He had his first major success in 1996 with the title A Mystical Journey , which rose to number 30 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club .
In 1991 Fontana signed a first record deal with 50/50 Records . In 1999 he achieved a No. 1 hit in the USA with the “Powerhouse” production team (Lenny Fontana & Duane Harden). The song also made it to number 13 on the UK charts . In 2000 he again reached number 39 in the UK charts with "Chocolate Sensation" (featuring DJ Shorty). In 2008 he made his comeback in collaboration with the British producer Ridney and the singer Larisa. The track "Wait 4 U" made it in Heidi Klum's program " Germany's Next Top Model 2008". In cooperation with the producer Jean Claude Ades (JCA) and the singer Tyra, the single "Nite Time" was released on Swing / Kontor Rec. In 2009 , which had over 1.5 million hits on YouTube . In 2010 Lenny Fontana worked in the well-known Space Club Ibiza Resident ( Café Olé ).
2011 was followed by a report with previously unpublished interviews and live recordings “A Tribute To Larry Levan @ BBC 6” by Larry Levan . This was followed by a tour of Europe and Asia in clubs such as Cookies Berlin , Jaeger Oslo , Fabric London , Eleven Tokyo and Bassment Asahikawa .
In 2013 Lenny Fontana founded the label Karmic Power Records.
Lenny Fontana's 90s House Anthem Chocolate Sensation comes out in 2015 (Cr2 / Karmic Power Records) with new remixes by Paul Woolford aka Special Request, South Royston and receives massive support on BBC 1 from Annie Mac and Monki. The original was released on Pete Tong's label FFRR.
Project powerhouse
Powerhouse is a collaboration between DJ Lenny Fontana and singer Duane Harden . The song "What You Need" reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music / Club Play charts and number 13 on the UK singles charts . The song was u. a. Remixed by full intention.
