The Lens Peak (English for lens tip ) is an approximately 500 m high mountain at the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises on the south shore of Holtedahl Bay immediately east of Conway Island .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 to 1957 were used by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain on September 23, 1960 based on the naming of other objects in the area, which commemorate the pioneers in the research of snow blindness and in the development of snow goggles .
