Leo Pasetti

Leo Pasetti (born March 17, 1889 in St. Petersburg , † January 24, 1937 in Munich ) was a German set designer .

Leo Pasetti was born in St. Petersburg as the son of the Russian court photographer Anacleto Pasetti . He began his career as an outfitter for the Munich cabaret Die Elf Scharfrichter . From here he moved to the Münchner Kammerspiele . From 1920 he was equipment director of the Bavarian State Theater . He stayed in this position until his death in January 1937. He has also worked for many other theaters, above all for the Berlin State Opera . His grave is in the Munich North Cemetery .

Pasetti was first married to the painter Ingeborg Hartmann (1891-1965), a daughter of the painter Karl Hartmann , with whom he had their son Peter Pasetti ; his second marriage was to the Dutch soprano Elisabeth Ohms .
