Leonard Crow Dog

Leonard Crow Dog (* 1942 in Rosebud Indian Reservation , South Dakota ) is a medicine man of the Lakota - Indians . His father Henry Crow Dog and grandfather Jerome Crow Dog were also medicine men . Leonard Crow Dog married Mary Brave Bird for the second time . Leonard Alden Crow Dog is his son.

Leonard Crow Dog is an activist and spiritual leader of the American Indian Movement and has therefore been imprisoned several times. As a connoisseur of medicinal plants and sun dance , he preserves the traditions of the Lakota.
