The Merkur Glacier is a wide glacier in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . It flows south from the slopes of Mount Hughes in the Cook Mountains to the Darwin Glacier . It is characterized by deep blue ice, which is covered by a layer of snow in the upper section of the glacier.

The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after the ancient Roman god Mercury .
