Leonard Waligora (born March 31, 1980 ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Waligora has been playing indoor volleyball since 1988. Since 2003, the outside attacker played for the second division Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2006. Waligora then moved to the league competitor Berliner TSC , where he now plays in the Berlin League.

Career Beach

Waligora began playing in the sand in 1998 and has achieved some top placements here in national tournament series. With his partner Arvid Kinder he reached ninth place in the German championship in Timmendorfer Strand in 2003 . In 2004 the duo improved to seventh place. Waligora finished ninth in the German championship in 2006 with children and in 2007 with his new partner Florian Karl . In 2008, Karl / Waligora came in 13th in Timmendorfer Strand. In 2009, Waligora was third at the Smart Beach Cup in Dresden alongside Jonathan Erdmann .

Career coach

Since 2009 Waligora has been a federal base trainer at the Olympic base in Berlin. He trains the beach volleyball players at the base and is also the co-trainer of the indoor juniors in the volleyball Bundesliga.
