Leonardo Bistolfi

Leonardo Bistolfi (born March 14, 1859 in Casale Monferrato , † September 2, 1933 in La Loggia ) was an Italian sculptor, painter, writer and politician. He was an important representative of Italian symbolism .

Life

He was a son of the woodcarver Giovanni Bistolfi and Angela Amisano. In 1876 he enrolled in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan . From 1880 he studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin . Bistolfi created the grave relief for Marie-Nancy Vuille .
