Leonardo Rivero , full name Leonardo Fabián Rivero Bueno , (born November 12, 1983 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.86 meter tall midfield and offensive player Rivero was in the Apertura and Clausura 2003 in the squad of the Uruguayan second division club Paysandú FC and played there in the Apertura 16 league encounters in which he scored four. From the Clasura 2009 at the latest, he played for the then first division club Cerro Largo FC . In the 2008/09 season he scored seven goals there. In the following season he came to eleven, but goalless, first division appearances for the team from Melo . In 2010 and 2011 he played for the Peruvian club FBC Melgar in a total of 36 top division games and scored nine goals (2010: 13 (5); 2011: 23 (4)). In 2012 he moved to Cienciano , where he met ten times in 33 first division appearances. In 2013 he joined Gimnasia Jujuy . in the Argentines he was placed eight times in the Primera B Nacional (no goal). In the 2013/14 season he played again for Cerro Largo FC. With the Eastern Uruguayans he was able to score seven goals in 14 appearances in the Primera División but not prevent relegation to the Segunda División at the end of the season. In the second division 2014/15 season he played in four league games and scored one goal. For the 2015/16 season there is another league appearance (no goal) for him.
