The Roman Catholic St. Leonhard Chapel stands east of the subsidiary church St. Leonhard im Bade in the hamlet of Benesirnitz at 1111 meters above sea level in the municipality of Albeck in the Feldkirchen district in Carinthia .

The chapel is dated 1528 above the beveled west portal. Next to the portal is a Gothic holy water font from the 16th century. The facade has a painted corner cuboid and a painted decorative frieze under the eaves. A ribbed vault rises above the single-bay chapel room with a five-eighth closure and three ogival windows .

The uniform painting of the chapel was created in 1534. The vault is mainly decorated with tendrils and medallions with half-figures: Mary , John the Baptist , female saints and angels with banners. On the walls there are depictions from the life of Mary : the Annunciation , the Marriage, the Visitation , the Flight into Egypt and the Coronation of Mary . Illusionistic architectural painting on the walls. The base zone is whitewashed.

The altar from 1668, decorated with cartilage , bears a figure of St. Leonhard from the beginning of the 16th century. The former side figures of St. Christopher and a St. Bishop with a brown and gold frame were restored in 1994/95. A 17th century votive tablet depicting St. Peter and the Fourteen Holy Helpers is associated with the Gurk Bishop Sigismund Franz .
