Leonhard Roth (hymn poet)
Leonhard Roth (* around 1500 in Tannowitz , Moravia ; † 1541 in Schäkowitz , Moravia) was a hymn poet . He was a supporter of an Anabaptist sect that goes back to Jakob Hutter . Therefore, he was arrested in 1539 and taken to Trieste , but was able to escape.
