Leonhard Spitzauer

Leonhard Spitzauer (born April 20, 1985 in Munich ) is a German independent managing director and local politician ( CSU ).

Career

Spitzauer studied applied media economics and initially worked as a project manager. Since 2015 he has been the owner of a real estate company and managing partner of a real estate management company. He is also the commander of the Parsdorf-Hergolding volunteer fire department.

In 2016 Spitzauer became a member of the parish council of Vaterstetten. For the 2020 local elections , Spitzauer ran against four other applicants. In the runoff election on March 29, 2020, he narrowly prevailed with 50.66 percent against his rival Maria Wirnitzer (SPD) with 49.34 percent, which corresponds to a difference in votes of 186. In the first ballot on March 15, 2020, Spitzauer received 39 , 1 percent, ahead of Maria Wirnitzer with 27.8 percent. The candidates David Göhler (Greens, 14.8%), Roland Meier (Free Voters, 11.7%) and Klaus Willenberg (FDP, 6.7%) missed the runoff election. Predecessor Georg Reitsberger (Free Voters) was not allowed to run for mayor's office again for reasons of age.
