Robert Niedergesäß (born February 18, 1971 in Munich ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). Since 2013 he's district administrator of the district Ebersberg .

Career

Niedergesäß attended the Humboldt Gymnasium in Vaterstetten , then studied economics at the University of Munich and graduated with a degree in economics. He then worked for a personnel consultancy in Munich.

At the age of 17 Niedergesäß became a member of the Junge Union . From 1991 to 1997 he was chairman of the Junge Union Vaterstetten. In the local elections in the spring of 1996, he first moved into the municipal council of Vaterstetten . On February 18, 2001 he was elected 1st mayor of the community of Vaterstetten with 57.7% of the votes in the first ballot against the incumbent. In the mayoral elections in 2002 and 2008, he was confirmed in office with over 75%.

On February 2, 2013 Niedergesäß was set up by the CSU as the successor to Gottlieb Fauth as a candidate for the district election in Ebersberg on April 14, 2013. In the first ballot he received 47.96% of the vote. In the runoff election on April 28th Niedergesäß received 50.96% of the vote and on May 1st took over the office of district administrator from his predecessor Fauth.

Niedergesäß is one of three deputy district chairmen of the CSU district association Ebersberg.

Private

Niedergesäß is married and has three children.
