Georg Reitsberger

Georg Reitsberger (born December 14, 1952 in Munich ) is a German farmer and local politician ( FW ).

Career

Reitsberger grew up on the "Jager Huber" farm in Vaterstetten , which he took over from his parents in 1979.

In the local elections in 1990 he was elected to the local council for the non-partisan voter community (ÜWG) and confirmed in the following three local elections. In 2001 he joined the free voters. After Robert Niedergesäß was elected district administrator, Reitsberger announced his candidacy for his successor in the office of mayor of Vaterstetten in the spring of 2013. In the runoff election on October 6, 2013, he prevailed against Brigitte Littke (CSU) with 55.76 percent of the vote. For reasons of age , Reitsberger did not run for the mayor's office in the 2020 local elections , his term of office ended on April 30, 2020. On May 7, 2020, he was awarded the honorary title of “former mayor”.

Reitsberger was elected to the district council in the election and was elected deputy to the district administrator.
