Caroline Fink (born August 1, 1977 in Biel ) is an author , photographer , mountaineer and filmmaker .

Life

Caroline Fink studied sociology , journalism and new German literature at the University of Zurich . She studied at the Universidad de la Merced in Murcia , traveled to Nepal , Kyrgyzstan and Greenland and wrote reports from Chile during a six-month stay . In 2004 she completed her studies with a thesis on culture and democracy .

During her studies she began climbing , mountaineering and ski mountaineering , especially in women's rope teams . She worked as an editor for a press agency and the magazine of the Swiss Mountain Guide Association, published in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , among others . There she published a. a. also about the establishment of the SFAC on February 27, 1918 and about pioneers in mountain sports; because in 1907 women were excluded from the Swiss Alpine Club .

Caroline Fink has been a freelance photographer and author for German-language newspapers and magazines (including NZZ and Schweizer Familie ) since 2007 , she writes books and works as a documentary filmmaker and presenter.

In addition, she traveled regularly to Iran on her tours and reported in detail about it.
