Gottlieb Fauth (born August 1, 1956 ) is a German politician ( CSU ). He was from 2002 to 2013 District Administrator of the district Ebersberg .

Life

Fauth studied agricultural sciences in Weihenstephan and graduated as Dipl.-Ing. agr. from. From 1973 to 1993 he was a member of the Junge Union . In 1978 he joined the CSU. From 1984 to 2002 Fauth was a member of the district council of the district of Ebersberg. In addition, he was a member of the parish council in Vaterstetten from 1984 to 2002 . From 1989 to 2002 he was the local chairman of the local association. From 1989 to 2011 he was deputy district chairman of the CSU. From 1996 to 2002 Fauth acted as managing director of the Federal Association of German Potato Distillers and the Association of Bavarian Agricultural Distilleries eG.After he was deputy district administrator from 2000 to 2002, he was elected district administrator of the Ebersberg district with 59.35% against four competitors in 2002 . He succeeded Hans Vollhardt (CSU). In the election on March 2, 2008 , Fauth received 52.8 percent of the vote.

During Fauth's tenure, numerous investments were made in educational institutions in the district, such as the construction of the Kirchseeon grammar school and the Poing secondary school , participation in the FOS / BOS in Erding and the expansion and renovation of existing schools, such as the Franz Marc grammar school in Markt Schwaben .

After several years in which he was impaired in the performance of his office due to a relapsing, inflammatory disease of the nervous system, Fauth applied for early retirement on October 4, 2012 after ten years in office due to incapacity. His successor was Robert Niedergesäß (CSU).

Fauth is married and has three children, a son and two daughters.
