Hermann Beham

Hermann Beham (born January 27, 1936 in Aßling ; † December 5, 2012 in Ebersberg ) was a German local politician ( CSU ).

Career

Hermann Beham's father was a teacher in Neuburg an der Donau . The family later moved to Lorenzenberg in the Ebersberg district . Beham's mother was the parish clerk here while he attended grammar school in Schäftlarn .

Beham was chairman of the district youth council from 1962 to 1968. Then he went to the Bavarian Ministry of Culture and finally became a government director.

In 1966 he joined the CSU, but failed in the election for the mayor of Grafing near Munich . In the same year he was elected to the district council of the Ebersberg district, to which he belonged until 1978. From 1972 to 1978 he was deputy district administrator.

From 1971 to 1978, Beham worked as a research assistant and managing director of the CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament .

In 1978, Beham Remigius Streibl followed , who had to give up his position as district administrator for reasons of age . Beham received 66.9% in his first election, his opponent Friedhelm Haenisch ( SPD ) received 25.5%, Max Kraft from the FDP 5.1% and Michael Prötzl from the KPD 0.7%.

District Administrator von Ebersberg remained cautious until 1994, when he retired for health reasons. He was followed by Hans Vollhardt .
