Leonhard Treichl

Leonhard Treichl (born January 1, 1932 in Vandans ; † August 31, 1999 in Bregenz ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and secretary of the Chamber of Labor. From 1971 to 1983 he was a member of the National Council .

Career

Treichl attended a secondary school after elementary school and then switched to a commercial school. He was employed as a payroll clerk and from 1955 to 1958 was secretary of the union of construction and woodworkers.

In 1958, Treichl became secretary of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Vorarlberg and also attended the Social Academy of the Chamber for Labor and Salaried Salaries for Vienna. Treichl was involved in local politics from 1955 to 1959 as local party leader of the SPÖ- Dalaas , in 1965 he became city representative in Bregenz. He also acted as President of ARBÖ Vorarlberg from 1968 and was a member of the ARBÖ federal executive committee, after being sworn in as a member of the National Council on November 4, 1971, he also became a member of the SPÖ state party executive in 1972. Treichl represented the SPÖ in the National Council until February 2, 1983.
