Leopold Berthold

Leopold Berthold (born October 31, 1967 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Berthold was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 2004 to 2009 . He lives in Wald am Arlberg, a district of Dalaas , is divorced and has a daughter and a son.

Political career

Berthold, who works professionally as sales director and division manager, was a member of the Dalaas municipal council from 1995 to 2002 and a local councilor and deputy mayor from 2000 to 2002. In the 2004 state elections , Berthold was elected to the Vorarlberg state parliament in the Bludenz constituency for the SPÖ Vorarlberg . In the XXVIII. In the legislative period of the state parliament he was the area spokesman for the SPÖ state parliament club for economy, waste management, finance, energy, Europe and tourism.

Berthold ran in the state elections in 2009 in fifth place on the SPÖ state list and in second place on the Bludenz district list. Due to the poor election results of the SPÖ in Vorarlberg (- 6.85%), however, he no longer had a mandate and he resigned with the inauguration of the state parliament of the XXIV legislative period.
