Leopold Iwald

Leopold Iwald (* around 1870 ; † August 24, 1938 ) was a theater and film actor during the silent film era .

Life

Iwald began his career in Heidelberg in 1892, then went to Bremerhaven, 1895 Flensburg, 1896 Frankfurt an der Oder, 1897 Wismar and 1898 Regensburg. From there, Sigmund Lautenburg signed him to the Residenztheater in Berlin. In 1900 he went to the Secession stage, in 1901 to the Lessing Theater. In 1903 he played in Budapest.

There was a gap between 1903 and 1919 before he reappeared as a silent film actor. The time and place of his death are unknown.
