Leopoldine Ullmann (around 1875 in Prague - after 1902 ) was an opera singer ( alto ).

Life

Leopoldine Ullmann was born in Prague as the daughter of the university professor and councilor Ullmann. In 1897 she accepted an engagement in Lübeck, came to Bremen in 1898 and made her debut on February 2, 1899 as "Azucena" at the court theater in Darmstadt with such great success that she was immediately won over for this court stage. With her inaugural role as Ortrud , she proved her skills and qualified as a Wagner singer . Also in later roles such as “Amneris” ( Aida ), “Fides” ( Prophet ) and “Nancy” ( Martha ) she proved to be a successful representative of the old subject.
