The Lerchenberg is a 287.5 m high elevation and is located in the corridor of the city of Werra-Suhl-Tal in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . In terms of nature, the Lerchenberg is part of the Seulingswald . It is used for agriculture.
A section of the Hessian-Thuringian border leads over the Lerchenberg. Since the beginning of the 1990s there has been a playground and rest area with a water lily pond created by the Dankmarshausen Heimatverein on the southern slope as a starting point for hikes on the border hiking trail to the Hornsberg castle ruins, which is about a kilometer away .
