Les Aiglons

Les Aiglons was a rock band from Lausanne that became internationally known in 1963 with the space rock single Stalactite .

Les Aiglons was founded in 1961 by young people. The formation consisted of Léon Francioli and Laurent Florian ( guitar ), Antoine Ottino ( bass ), Christian Schlatter ( drums ) and Jean-Marc Blanc ( organist ). The single Stalactite was written by Blanc and recorded in Paris in May 1963, under Ken Lean, Eddie Barclay's musical director . It was released as an EP on the discotheque label Golf-Drouot and was a success in several countries. In the US, the Aiglons released under the name The Eagles . A tour of France followed. In the same year the second EP Panorama was released , Tennessee followed in 1964 . Also in 1964 an LP was released that included a compilation of songs from their EPs. Another EP was released with Rosko in 1965, after which they broke up.

From 1990 onwards, the Aiglons released various compilations on CD. For the single Trente ans après they reformed in 1992.
