Les Favorites

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Les Favorites is a German baroque orchestra.

Proven baroque specialists participate in the ensemble, including Veronika Skuplik (violin) and Reinhold Friedrich (trumpet). The orchestra is conducted by Holger Speck . It supports the Rastatt vocal ensemble instrumentally, but also appears independently.

The formation is named after the Favorite Castle in Rastatt-Förch, which the Margravine Augusta Sybilla von Baden had built from 1710 and whose architecture serves as a model for the musicians in their interpretations.
