Les Searle
Leslie "Les" Searle (born February 25, 1937 in Polesworth near Coventry ) is a British jazz musician and composer .
Live and act
Searle is from Polesworth ; he came to Germany in 1965 as a saxophonist in the Royal Air Force Germany Band. He also composed and arranged for Kurt Edelhagen's orchestra . After his military service he played in the backing band to the musical Hello Dolly under the direction of Klaus Doldinger in Düsseldorf, then with Hair in Essen. He still leads his own quartet today.
Between 1969 and 2001 Searle ran a private music school in Remscheid . As a composer, he wrote works for wind and chamber orchestras as well as music educational works.
