history

From October 26, 1889 to the end of 2011, the RGA was published by the family business JF Ziegler KG Druckerei und Verlag . In November 2011, the media company B. Boll, which also publishes the Solinger Tageblatt , took over all title and publishing rights for the Remscheider General-Anzeiger with its head editions of the Wermelskirchener General-Anzeiger , Hückeswagener Stadtanzeiger and Radevormwalder Zeitung.

Edition

The Remscheider General-Anzeiger has lost a lot of its circulation in recent years . The number of copies sold has fallen by 43.5 percent since 1998. It is currently 13,626 copies. This corresponds to a decrease of 10,497 units. The share of subscriptions in the circulation sold is 91.5 percent.

In a sold edition of 2871 copies (II / 2009) the RGA also distributes the Wermelskirchener General-Anzeiger and with 2046 copies (II / 2009) the Hückeswagener Stadt-Anzeiger and the Radevormwalder Zeitung . In addition, the RGA maintains its own local editorial offices in Radevormwald , Wermelskirchen and Hückeswagen .

The editorial office is located on upper Alleestrasse. The editorial office in Remscheid is not a full editorial office , but only produces the regional and local sections in the Rhenish format . The coat is obtained from the main editorial office of the Westdeutsche Zeitung in Düsseldorf , with which the RGA and the Solinger Tageblatt are connected via the editorial community WZplus while maintaining economic independence .
