The publishing house is a family business and published the Remscheider General-Anzeiger (RGA) from October 26, 1889 to the end of 2011 . The publisher publishes the weekly free advertising paper Bergischer Anzeiger, which also contains an editorial section and is distributed in a total of around 100,000 copies in Remscheid, Wermelskirchen, Hückeswagen, Wipperfürth and Radevormwald.
RGA book publisher
For more than 100 years, the publishing and printing company JF Ziegler KG has also made it its mission to preserve the native literature of the Bergisches Land, to make its history, its sights and its culture known. At the end of October 2011 it was announced that JF Ziegler KG Druckerei und Verlag would transfer all title and publishing rights to the Remscheider General-Anzeiger with its head editions Wermelskirchener General-Anzeiger, Hückeswagener Stadtanzeiger and Radevormwalder Zeitung to the Solinger Tageblatt publisher , Medienhaus B. Boll , and the print shop in Überfeld has to be closed by December 31, 2011.

On September 1, 1996, the Remscheid-based media company launched its rga-online website. In the meantime, the online service has developed into the largest Remscheid portal. Rga-online records up to 1.9 million page views and 40,000 unique users per month.

Since March 2006, the publisher has been running the online advertising portal www together with other Rhenish newspaper publishers. kalaydo .de. The portal was able to establish itself within a short time and, with over 27 million page views (according to IVW March 07), is one of the top ten German e-commerce offers.
