Das Örtliche is a German telecommunications directory that is tailored to local economic areas and contains both private and commercial entries from the regional area.

The book edition of Das Örtliche appeared for the first time in 1924. The total circulation of the directory is now around 34 million copies nationwide. The over 1000 local individual editions are published by around 100 publishers in cooperation with Deutsche Tele Medien GmbH .

service

The directory is offered as a book, online and mobile version and is available to its users completely free of charge. Common contact details such as name, address, telephone number or email address can be found. In the case of commercial entries, additional information such as opening times, information on products and services or the link to the homepage of the trader is added.

In addition to the normal search function, the scope of the online version and the app include, for example, the ATM search, the reverse search, the area search and the search for emergency pharmacies. Furthermore, users can view the current cinema program and find the cheapest petrol station in the area with the help of the petrol price search. Every fourth German visited the online portal in the past year.

The mobile search is possible for most common smartphones ( Apple iOS and Android ) and also using a tablet via the Das-Örtliche app, which has already been downloaded over 6.8 million times.

advertising

Standard entries are free of charge for traders in all media (books, internet, information services, etc.), provided they have not objected to publication in general or in individual media and the respective telephone provider makes the data available to Telekom Deutschland GmbH for publication. However, there is no legal entitlement to this.

The free standard entry includes the name, suffix, academic degree, title or business name, address, telephone, fax and, if applicable, the mobile phone number. The respective terms and conditions of the responsible publisher apply to the entries. Additional information such as opening times, homepage and / or email addresses or a more conspicuous design of the entry can be ordered from the respective publisher for a fee.

The local is ad-financed. In Germany, it is available in printed form free of charge in post offices and other locations. Depending on the region and infrastructure, certain book editions are also delivered directly to households.
