The Lettau Bluff is a 200 m high cliff of rock and ice in the center of the western edge of the Beaufort Island in the Antarctic Ross Archipelago .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the cliff in 1999 after the American meteorologist Heinz H. Lettau (1909-2005) from the University of Wisconsin , who was involved in the preparations for the meteorological program on the plateau station between 1966 and 1968 was.
