Levke Brodersen (born November 27, 1994 in Wyk auf Föhr ) is a German basketball player .

career

Brodersen first played basketball at Wyker TB on their home island of Föhr . She was trained there by the parents of the former national basketball player Stina Barnert , who also comes from Föhr. As a teenager Brodersen moved to SC Rist Wedel and at the age of 15 he moved on to TV Saarlouis . In 2011, the 1.70-meter-tall female player with the Saarland girls' team won the championship title in the female youth basketball league , and during the 2010/11 season she made her debut in the women's league . In Saarlouis, Brodersen developed into the top performer of the Bundesliga squad and rose to become the captain. She played with the Saarland women partly together with Stina Barnert. After appearances in the youth national teams of the U16, U18 and U20 age groups, she played her first international match in the senior national team in February 2016.

After the end of the 2017/18 game year, Brodersen, who is studying English and biology as a teacher in addition to basketball, left TV Saarlouis and switched to the English first division club Sheffield Hatters. In January 2019, she won the WBBL Cup with Sheffield. After a year in England, Brodersen returned to Saarlouis for the 2019/20 season. In May 2020 she was presented as a new addition to the Bundesliga club BG Donau-Ries .
