The BG Donau-Ries is a women's basketball club from Nördlingen , which plays in the 1st Bundesliga . It emerged from the 1st women's team of TSV Nördlingen .
history
After advancing to the DBBL in 2008, the club hired a number of established players. The national player Alexandra Müller from Nördlingen switched from the reigning German champion and league competitor TSV 1880 Wasserburg to the newly founded club. National players Annika Danckert and Corry Berger and Dorothea Richter also joined the club.
In the 2008/2009 season, the team finished fifth in the first division . In the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 seasons the team qualified for the TOP4 (the final round of the German Cup competition). In the 2011/12 season, Coach Holesovsky had formed a team around the foreign players Amanda Rego (USA), Morgan Henderson (USA), Heta Korpivaara (FIN) and Yadira Francis Ferrer (CUB), which is suitable for the top four tournament qualified and with the 8th place in the 1st Bundesliga just slipped into the play-offs. In the 2012/13 season, the team finished 6th in the final table and came fourth in the cup competition. In the 2013/2014 season, the team finished 10th and was just able to avoid relegation. The 2014/2015 season turned out to be much better, when the team secured home rights in the play-off quarter-finals by finishing fourth.

The association traded under the name XCYDE Angels in 2018 . Former name sponsors were TH Wohnbau ( TH Wohnbau Angels ), Friendsfactory ( Friendsfactory Baskets Donau-Ries ), Heli ( HELI GIRLS Nördlingen Donau-Ries ) and WWK ( WWK Donau-Ries ).
