Li Ping (table tennis player)

Li Ping (born May 18, 1986 ) is a Chinese table tennis player who became world champion in mixed in 2009.

Career

Li Ping started playing table tennis when he was five years old. In October 2001 he was accepted into the Chinese national team.

At the national Chinese championships in 2004 he won bronze in singles, in 2007 silver with the team and in 2008 bronze in mixed. In 2009 he became world champion in mixed with Cao Zhen in Yokohama .

In the ITTF world rankings , Li Ping was ranked 42nd in August 2010. His best placement up to October 2011 was 35th place in March and April 2008. From 2010 onwards, he no longer appeared internationally.

He has been playing for Qatar internationally since 2015. For the 2017/18 season he joined the French first division club Istres TT.
