Corelli, the daughter of a bank director, attended a technical institute, a dance school and acting courses after leaving school. After moving to Rome, she also took courses at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia . After she had already received a film role at the age of fifteen, she was seen in around a dozen feature films from 1942, meanwhile graduated, without making a breakthrough in the war years. After the end of the Second World War only seldom and active for the screen until 1950, she withdrew completely into private life after her marriage to screenwriter and director Ivo Perilli in 1953.
