Lia Roberts

Lia Roberts (* 7. May 1949 in Bucharest as Lia Sandu ) is a former Romanian politician . She was a candidate for the 2004 election of Romanian President, but withdrew her candidacy due to poor poll results.

In 1979 Lia Roberts fled the regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu to the United States , where she acquired dual citizenship. In the state of Nevada she was chairman of the Republican Party . She is currently Romania's Honorary Consul in Las Vegas .
