Lianxi ( Chinese 濂溪区 , Pinyin Liánxī Qū ; until 2016 Lushan , 廬山區 / 庐山区 , Lúshān Qū ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Jiujiang in the southern Chinese province of Jiangxi . The city district has a total area of 369 km² and around 240,000 inhabitants (2016). Due to its climatic conditions (alternating cold and damp and sunny), the area is ideal for growing tea.

Administrative structure

At the community level, Lianxi is divided into two street districts, five large municipalities , two municipalities and a development zone. These are:

Shili Street (十里街道), seat of the borough government;
Wuli street district (五里街道);
Qilihu Street District (七里湖街道), has the status of an economic and technology development zone;

Weijia Municipality (威家镇);

Xingang Municipality (新港镇);

Greater community Lianhua (莲花镇);

Greater community Saiyang (赛阳镇);
