The city of Ruichang ( Chinese 瑞昌 市 , Pinyin Ruìchāng Shì ) is an independent city that belongs to the administrative area of the independent city of Jiujiang in the southern Chinese province of Jiangxi . Ruichang has an area of 1,423 km² and a population of 430,000.
The site of the Tongling copper mine (Tongling tongkuang yizhi 铜 岭 铜矿 遗址) from the Shang and Zhou periods has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-56) since 2001 .
A town partnership with Würselen has existed since 2011 .
