Liaoyang (district)

Liaoyang County ( Chinese 辽阳县 , Pinyin Liáoyáng Xiàn ) is a district in the prefecture-level city of Liaoyang in northeast China 's Liaoning Province . It has an area of 2,853 km² and has a population of 590,000 (2004). Its main town is the large community of Shoushan (山镇山镇).

Administrative structure

At the community level, the district consists of fourteen large communities and three communities (two of which are Manchu ).
