Libralim Atzma'im

Libralim Atzma'im ( Hebrew ליברלים עצמאיים, Self-Employed Liberals ) was an Israeli party from the 1960s to the 1980s.

history

It split from the Miflaga Liberalit Jisra'elit during the elections to the 5th Knesset in 1961 , when it formed the Gachal with the Cherut . In the 1965 elections, the party won 5 seats and participated in the governing coalition led by Levi Eshkol and Golda Meir , with Moshe Kol becoming Minister of Tourism and Development.

During the 6th Knesset, the party lost a seat when Jishar Harari left the party to join HaMa'arach .

In the 1969 elections, the party received 4 seats and again participated in the governing coalition. Moshe Kol became Minister of Tourism again. The party won 4 seats in the 1973 elections and took part in the governing coalitions under Meir 1973 and Yitzchak Rabin 1974. In 1977 the party received only one seat, after the 1981 elections the party was no longer represented in the Knesset. In the 1984 elections, she joined the HaMa'arach party.
