Light type

The type of light is an indication of a radiation function of a light source . The radiation function is the spectrum of a radiator, i.e. the distribution of the radiation over the wavelength , and is described by the spectral radiance . Depending on the spectrum of a lamp, you have to deal with different light colors . The type of light is an indication of the spectral distribution.

On the other hand, the type of light also means the regulation with which lamps and, if applicable, which color filters are used to generate a certain type of light. The types of light are on a curve of the white points on the chromaticity diagram .
