history

The production site has existed as a separate production company since 1978. In 1984 Liebherr produced its first own 12-cylinder diesel engine for earthmoving machines here, after initially producing pump transfer cases and axial piston pumps. In addition to diesel engines, Liebherr's own gas engines for combined heat and power plants and biogas plants have been manufactured in Bulle since 1996 . It is also possible to purchase Liebherr motors and components for external companies.

The production site in Bulle covers an area of ​​118,000 m², 56,000 m² of which is covered hall space. The share capital of SA von Bulle in the amount of 100 million Swiss francs was exclusively owned by the Liebherr family in 2015.
