The world premiere took place in 2007 at Theater Basel and was staged by Werner Düggelin . Among other things, the play was also performed in the Theater der Künste in Zurich . The play was invited to the play days in Mülheim an der Ruhr in 2008 .

action

The play takes place mainly in a student environment. Different young people meet: Sven, Lili, Darius, Jule and Anna. The piece does not tell a linear plot, but works with unconnected, pictorial episodes. Connections arise from the recurring characters and from thematic reference points such as sex, love and study.

particularities

  • One of the main distinguishing features of the piece is the language used by young people, which essentially consists of short sentences such as "Hi." and exchanges over several lines.
  • The SMS scenes are an integral part of the piece. The SMS language is copied. Furthermore, the times of the SMS transmissions are precisely recorded. In this way, a sense of time can be established for how the SMS reacts and replies, or not replies.
  • The figure of Philip does not appear in the entire piece and is listed in brackets in the list of figures. He is only talked about, his actions are documented in conversations. At the end of the play his suicide is reported.
