The Reclining Poet ( Norwegian Liggende poet ) is a sculpture in the Norwegian city ​​of Bergen .

It is located in downtown Bergen at the eastern end of Øvre Ole Bulls plass, near Kong Olav Vs plass.

The sculpture was created from bronze by the sculptor Hans Jacob Meyer and unveiled in 1958. It shows the nude of a young man, leaning on his right arm on the right side . The model for the sculpture was the painter Laurie Grundt (1923–2020).
