The Lienener Berg is an elevation in the Tecklenburger Land near the eponymous town of Lienen . It has a height of 225 m and is the second highest point in the Tecklenburger Land.
The Hermannsweg , which runs over the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest , also touches the Lienen mountain. A special feature is the serpentine that connects Lienen with Holperdorp. It is considered to be one of the most northerly serpentines in Germany. A lime works with an attached limestone quarry is located on the mountain . In summer, the mountain attracts numerous motorcyclists to Tecklenburger Land because of its unique beauty.
