The Lientur Rocks (English; Spanish Islotes Lientur , in Argentina Islas Prominentes ) are two up to 58 m high rock islands off the north coast of Robert Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They are located around 700 m north of Newell Point . The larger of them is about 360 m long.
Scientists of the 4th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1949–1950) named it after one of their research vessels. Argentine scholars, on the other hand, named them descriptively.
