Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven! (also: Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven and Levez Vos Skinny Fists Comme Antennas to Heaven ) is a double album by the Canadian band Godspeed You! Black Emperor .

It is the band's second regular album and is considered one of the classic post-rock albums . It was recorded at Chemical Sound Studios in Toronto, Canada . The whole album is instrumental, apart from a few interspersed speech samples.

The album is dedicated to every prisoner on the globe.

Reviews

The album received mostly excellent reviews in the trade press. It received nine out of ten points on Plattentests.de , four and a half out of five in the All Music Guide and 9.0 / 10 points on Pitchfork Media . Looking back, Tonspion wrote, “The Canadian band Godspeed You Black Emperor welcomed you with a brilliant album! the new millennium. […] Almost ten years later, it is still worth listening to. […] This album paved the way for many bands and belongs in every sophisticated music collection. "
