Lilian Bond (born January 18, 1908 in London , † January 25, 1991 in Reseda , California ) was a British actress.
life and career
Lilian Bond began her film career in 1929 in the American sound film No More Children . In the years up to 1931 she played almost exclusively leading roles after her debut. Your most famous film from this time was the Western Rider of the Plains on the side of Tom Tyler . She played a notable supporting role in Jack Conway's 1931 romantic comedy Just a Gigolo . In 1932 she was selected for the WAMPAS Baby Stars alongside Ginger Rogers and Gloria Stuart . However, her film career has not been able to fulfill the hopes of Hollywood producers since then . Nevertheless, she starred in almost 40 films by 1953. After that she was seen a few times in television films until 1958 before she gave up her career. Her best-known films include The House of Horror with Boris Karloff , Melvyn Douglas and Charles Laughton from 1932 and The Westerner by William Wyler with Gary Cooper from 1940. In The Westerner she played the role of Lillie Langtry .
