Jack Conway , (born July 17, 1887 in Graceville , Minnesota , † October 11, 1952 in Pacific Palisades , California ; actually Hugh Ryan Conway ) was an American director , actor and producer .

Career

Jack Conway started out as an actor in the theater before taking on his first roles in film in 1907. In 1913 he switched to directing. He quickly acquired the reputation of an excellent technician who delivered solid work regardless of the genre.
