Lilo Martin

Lilo Martin (born October 31, 1908 in Munich ; † February 9, 1986 in Meran ) was a German composer .

Life

Lilo Martin studied at the Munich Academy of Music with Joseph Pembaur (piano) and August Schmid-Lindner (1870–1959; conducting). After that she was a composition student in Hans Pfitzner's master class .

In 1935 she married the pianist and conductor Horand Roemer (1908–1940). Her second marriage was to the painter Robert du Parc (1889–1979) from 1943 , and she lived with him at Rubein Castle near Merano .

  • Four Fantasy Pieces (op. 1; 1934) for piano
  • Sonata in A minor (op. 2; 1935) for piano (dedicated to August Schmid-Lindner)
