Lima Barreto (director)
Lima Barreto (born June 23, 1906 in Casa Branca , State of São Paulo , † November 23, 1982 in Campinas ) was a Brazilian film director and author.
He has directed two feature films and a dozen documentaries. Barreto had his greatest success with the film O Cangaceiro - The Lawless , which was awarded at the Cannes International Film Festival in 1953 as the best adventure film (Prix international du film d'aventures).
