Yeşilırmak , Greek Λιμνίτης Limnitis , probably the ancient Limenia , is a village in the Güzelyurt district in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus . The place had 458 inhabitants in 2011.
geography
Yeşilırmak is located in the Tylliria / Dillirga region, on the main road to the Kokkina (Erenköy) exclave . The Yeşilırmak border crossing is located east of the village.
population
Yeşilırmak has been mostly inhabited by Cypriot Turks since 1960 , who came from the village of Kurutepe. In 1960 there were 315 Cypriot Turks, on the other hand, only eight Cypriot Greeks . In 1973 there were 396 Cypriot Turks. In 2006 there were 410 Cypriot Turks, in 2011 there were 458.
