Wang Lin ( Chinese  王琳 , born March 30, 1989 in Hangzhou , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese badminton player .

Career

In 2010 Wang Lin won the title at the World Championships in Paris. She prevailed in the final against her compatriot Wang Xin with 21:11, 19:21, 21:13. In 2008 she was successful at the Super Series tournaments Denmark Open and the French Open . Already as a youth player she achieved great success, she won the World Cup in 2007 and the title at the Asian Cup in 2005. A year later, she won the China Masters in the adult division . In 2007, Wang Lin suffered a serious knee injury in the game against Maria Febe Kusumastuti , which took about 6 months to heal. On June 14, 2013, Wang Lin announced that she was stepping down from the national squad.
